Danath circled above waiting for the instructions to where they were heading, he still had the feeling that Neromon would lead them into trouble. Danath also knew Aurus was troubled by a presence, he was trying to hide it but Danath knew something was up.

(Well, it's not an explosion, but it'll certainly distract everyone)

A pure black hand suddenly came out of the ground and grabbed Aurus' tail, beginning to pull him into the ground. With a strange surprised yelp, and the help of his ice abilities, he escaped in a panic, flying into the sky. He wasn't sticking around for this any longer, he'd meet up with the group later.

He flew away from the city as fast as he could, soon flying over the walls, or at least he tried to. With a loud CRACK he flew into some sort of barrier, bouncing off of it and falling. His fall is broken a little at the expense of a nearby tree's branches, and both Aurus and the branches crash to the ground.

Aurus, completely caught off guard, continued to lie motionless in a large pile of branches.

(there's a barrier around the city, I think it would also be interesting if suddenly all the cityfolk vanished)

Draca jumped onto her hind legs as soon as the giant, black hand appeared from the ground, but Syrinia managed to calm her almost immediately as she stared in shock at the hand before her. Where had it come from, and most importantly, who did it belong too?

Syrinia watched as Aurus escaped the hand's grasp and flew into a barrier which seemed to surround the city. How would they be able to escape this? She immediately pulled out her sword, ready for battle, but still contemplating how to fight this... thing.

Looking at the hand that had come out of the ground he began to charge a redish black energy arround his hand, "no need to fight it, we can get out of here with out having to"

He raised his hand and behind him opened a rift, it opened slowly, and sounds like screams of pain and agony could be herd as it opened, on the other side of the rift a hellish land scape could be seen, and the ruins of a fortress.

"After you" neromon said after the rift had opened sompletely.

Syrinia stared at the rift in thought, could this be a trap? Not really giving it much more thought for she only had two options which consisted of battling a giant, black hand or entering a hellish landscape, she decided she would probably meet a simpler match by entering the rift.

Slapping on her reins, Draca hurried into the rift, stopping once she was inside.

Aurus stumb;es to his feet, seeing the portal and Syrinia entering it. Not wanting to be left behind, he runs over and jumps in, not really knowing where it led.

Danath just stayed hovering, never was one for portals he liked to see the place he was going way before he got there. He landed on the ground and walked towards it.

He looked up at Neromon, a puff of smoke came out of his nostrals as he shook his head and laughed
"You have some good tricks, if it wasn't for my friends that i care so much about," Danath said pointing at the portal and then down at the ground,"I would just stay and fight, i would rather do that then go with you."

With that Danath walked slowly into the portal, ready for anything that might be on the other side.
