Syrinia

When Forces Collide"I believe we can stop and take a short rest here, what do you think Draca?"
Syrinia motioned towards her black horse, decorated with bone-like armor which seemed to have been crafted from some animal's skeleton. Making her way to Draca's side and searching inside one of the many bags held by her mighty horse, Syrinia took out an apple she had been storing for an emergency. Food was very scarce these last few days, and she wanted to be prepared in case of not finding anything else to feast on.
She took the apple out and was about to take a bite when she noticed Draca staring at it longingly.
"Huh? You want this?" She chuckled a bit, "Okay, you deserve it much more than I do; you have been doing all the walking after all." Hesitantly, she offered the apple to Draca, who quickly took hold and chowed down on it. Well, now it was gone and there was nothing more to consume. Sighing, Syrinia sat down against a tree.
Petting one of Draca's legs she said, "Oh Draca, how I wish to fight once more; to feel the rush of the battle." Looking up at the sky, she closed her eyes, "That's the greatest feeling there is in this world, if only it had not been taken from me at such an early age." She shifted her gaze back at Draca, "Well, if the battle won't come to us then how's about we go to it?" Draca just emitted a gleeful sound and moved her head in an up and down motion. "That's my girl, let us journey to the dark side then, where evil dwells!" As she said this, she happily jumped onto Draca's saddle and headed off deeper into the forest.

"Oh, nice one Kail! Find the most evil infested city in Aeldra, and charge straight into it! And now you're talking to yourself! WHYYY???"
This was not unusual of Kail, to scream at himself. He decided it would be better to shut up, and not allow the chasng werewolves any more advantages. Gods know that being supernatural hunters with speed and strength better suited to a bear they don't get along easily enough, nooo, so now they had intelligence better suited to one of those learned preists.
One of them howled, the rest of the pack followed suit. They were way too close.
Kail snapped out his wings and flew from the City of Darkness.

Danath laid himself down upon a rocky outcrop that went out over the lake of memories. Darkness was well set in now and the only light was that of the small fire that Danath, belly towards it, laid one wing out stretched upwards to channel the warm air against his body.
Suddenly a noise carried on the wind reached his ears; he got up and looked over the water.
“Voices?” he whispered, and with that note in his voice the fire went out.
Again the noise came but not as loud as before.
“More trouble no doubt,” He looked down at the claw around his neck, “If I haven’t had enough already!”
Danath turned anyway from the water and walked alone the outcrop to the tree line. Laying himself down in a grassing patch, he rearranged his wings into a more comfortable placement alone his back.
“I better just get some sleep; I’ll get myself anyway from here first light.”
With the sounds of the trees all round Danath, he fell to sleep.

Syrinia had just reached the lake of memories - borderline between the dark and light sides of Aeldra - when she decided to take a quick rest. Jumping off Draca, she made her way to the lake and kneeled down before it. Cupping her hands, she lowered them into the cool water which swirled around her fingers gracefully. She lifted her hands to her lips, taking a sip.
I needed that.
She thought to herself as she placed her hands on the soft, green grass. Then she noticed something in the water; a reflection of some kind, but it wasn't of her. Taking a closer look at the water, she noticed it reflected off a fight. A fight between her and someone she recognized. Her eyes widened in shock. Could it be? Was the legend of the lake true? Was it reflecting her past? When she was exiled? No! It couldn't be!
Quickly, she stood up and made her way back to Draca. Jumping onto her saddle, she quickly ran off towards the dark side of Aeldra, not noticing the red dragon that lay to a side.

Danath awoke from his deep slumber to the sound of a horse galloping up the shore line. The house and its rider just pasted in eye sight of Danath but they didn’t notice him lying in the trees.
Danath lifted his head and sniffed the air.
A human female, she’s a bit off the beaten path, Danath thought. Before he could get a good look at the horse and it’s rider they were out of his sight.
“She’s heading to the dark side; she’s looking for trouble if I’m right.”
He walked to the water’s edge; put his head under the water and lifted back out again. Then he looked into the water. He saw himself but there was something missing.
“Arr! My claw, it’s gone!” he felt his neck and the claw was still there. Looking into the water again, there was no scar on his upper arm.
“Ok what’s going on here?” Just then in the reflection a black dragon hand with gold claws appeared no Danath’s shoulder. “No it can’t be! Get away from me!” he roared swinging his head to attack, but there was nothing there. “I’m getting out of here!”
He spread has wings and lifted himself into the air and in his shock flew towards the dark side of Aeldra.

Kail, having gone several hours without food, was losing energy. His wings beat slower now; he was losing height. Scanning the ground and the close airspace, he sees a woman....an amazon on horseback..
He hears something, slow and even. Wings!
Even as he finally gives up and plumetts to the earth, he wonders if the sound was that of a dragon. He also wonders what that poor Amazon woman will think if he should die here and she find the remains...

“Why! Why does my past seem to follow me, is it too much to ask for a quite life,” Danath said as he tried to figure out where he was. He was so bent on getting away from the lake that he had just took off in any direction. By now he was just going around in circles.
“Well this is great my fear has gotten the better of me again, and now I’m lost!”
One thing he did notice was the landscape was different, he couldn’t put his claw on it but it was different.
Then Danath noticed a dark shape off in the distance, falling to the ground.
A bird? No to big to be a bird.
"Curse my good nature, that well get me into trouble next, Well whatever it is it’s in trouble."
With that he started to fly in the direction the figure had fallen.

Syrinia

Riding as fast as she could, she was trying to escape what she had seen; her past. Ever since that day it had been haunting her, eating away at her slowly. This was the reason she had been exiled, the reason her family now rejected her. No, she wasn't slowing down, she wasn't about to let this catch up to her, she was going to forget and move on, she would not let this guilt and sadness consume her. She was the strongest sister of her tribe, she would not go down, she would not be beaten, she would not cry.
Racing through the forest, a large figure suddenly fell out of the sky. Alarmed, Draca rose up into the air kicking her forelegs franctically and throwing Syrinia off her back and onto the ground. Wincing slightly, she lifted herself slowly from the grass and inched her way towards Draca who stood now kicking her forelegs fiercely in the air. Grabbing hold of the reins, she managed to settle her down causing her to drop her legs back onto the ground.
"Shh it's alright, everything's okay," she whispered into Draca's ear as she held onto her head, "I'm here, I'm here." Once Draca was still, Syrinia turned to face what had caused all the commotion.

Kail SCREEEEEEEEEEEEAMS as he falls towards the trees, pretty sure they will be less than comfortable to land on. He stops, the screaming was wearing him out too much, he'd need all the energy he could muster to get out of this...
As he fell, he heard the wings again, he twisted around and saw a red dragon flying towards him, meaning it was either hungry, or wanted to help. It didn't make much difference, if it was going to eat him, he could take it down with him (with extreme luck).

The lake was serene, peaceful, smooth as glass and as reflective as a mirror. Arialth skimmed along its surface, dwelling on the beauty of the stars upon its surface.
Something was different about this lake... Arialth couldn't quite pick out what it was though. He looked up.
The sky was clouded.
He looked back down.
The surface of the lake was dotted with stars.
"Impossible..." He thought to himself. The mirror was different from reality. Perhaps he had been awake far too long. Maybe he ate something funny. What could this mean? Nothing made sense to him; he was always forgetting things. Some dim memory lit in the back of his mind, something relating to the lake, but it faded as a candle doused in water, and just as fast.
He never remembered anything for more than a week. Memories always seemed to slip by him if he did not constantly think about them, like his mind was leaking. He had no clue where he was, or how he had come to be here. Only a few things were certain. Like his name.
A bright red spot on the surface of the lake caught his eye. He circled up higher to get a better view of it. A vast panorama of stars filled his vision, and in the midst a brilliant fireball, growing larger, larger. It was heading straight at him... no, it was just an illusion, he told himself. Still, he watched, enthralled, as the conflagration grew larger, more magnificent. Something was at the center of that fireball, something angular, unnatural...
He wanted to see what it was. He knew, somewhere, that this might hold the key to his past, his inability to recall even recent memories. He had to see...
A scream in the distance shook him out of his reverence like a sharp bell. The vision vanishes as soon as his attention is broken. He almost cries and roars with anger at the same time and heads off in the direction of the yell.
(sorry long first post LOL!) [/i]

I’m not going to catch whatever it is in time, Danath thought over and over again as he rushed towards it. He was right the figure fall with a Thump to the ground.
“NO!” Danath hovered above the now motionless body of what looked like a human with wings.
Just off to the right the female human that passed him back at the lake was trying to settle her horse, what most have took fright with the sudden noise that had just happened. For a few more seconds he just hovered not knowing what he could do to help the motionless figure that lay beneath him.

Syrinia
|
Removing her sword from its sheath, Syrinia prepared for just about anything. Whatever had caused that loud sound and broken so many trees in its way down had to be large, and usually something large was powerful. Perhaps this was what she had been searching for; a fight. Oh how she longed for a fight, but she had to be sure first.
Releasing the tight grip she had around Draca's reins, she slowly made her way towards the many trees and bushes that lay smashed under the fallen creature. Parting branches and leaves with her free hand, she searched for the creature. Her search was successful when she found a winged human laying on its side. What was this? She had never seen a creature like this before; it resembled a human, but the wings were of a griffin. Was it some sort of hybrid?
"Awaken!" She firmly spoke as she gently poked the creature's side with her sword, being careful not to harm it in any way.

Kail looks at the Amazon, barely visivble as he is only starting to wake up, he freezes as he sees the weapon. Muttering a few spells, he turns to stone.
|
Syrinia
|
Syrinia's eyes widened as the creature before her turned to stone. This power, it was usually only granted to gargoyles; this creature really was quite intriguing. She lingered in thought as to what this being might be until a large shadow flying past her broke her trend of thought. She glanced up at the sky to witness a dragon hovering just above, it seemed to be observing her and the strange being that lay before her, but what would a dragon be doing on the dark side of Aeldra? Dragons were normally found in much mystical places, which were usually located on the light side. This was quite interesting.

As soon as the Amazonian looks away from him, Kail breaks the charm and shoulders into her. He sprints away as fast as his magic lets him, straight towards the sound of water. After a few minutes he sees the Lake of Memories, and paying no mind to the legends, dives in.
When he resurfaces, he looks around the immedeate area for signs of anything else desperate to point a sword at him, or possibly eat him. He wasn't fond of the idea of /that/ happening again...
He climbs onto the bank of the river, and, after taking a few sips of the cool, refreshing water (and saving some in a spare, rarely empty wine skin) he decides to wait and see what life had in store next.
|
Syrinia
|
Falling back a bit, Syrinia managed to stay on her feet and catch a small glimpse of the strange being running off. How could she be so stupid? "You never take your eyes off your enemy," her mother used to say. Oh her mother, the alpha of the tribe, how dissapointed she must feel about her daughter. She had not only killed one of her beloved sisters, but now, now she had let someone escape her grip. She was messing up everywhere, how would she ever look up to her family's name again?
Sighing, Syrinia placed her sword back into its sheath and headed back to Draca's side. Taking one more glance up at the sky, she jumped onto Draca's back and headed deeper into the forest, hoping to find something to make her forget about her miserable past.

A strange figure dashed into the water on the dark shore ahead of Arialth. It splashed deeper and deeper, fleeing from the even darker forest behind it, where Arialth could make out vague shapes standing. In the sky, he recognizes some sort of dragon hovering, watching everything.
With a sudden urge towards caution, Arialth dove close to the lake's surface so he might not be spotted and glided towards a patch of forest offshore where he might conceal himself better...

Deciding that being waterlogged isn't necessary, Kail buildes a small fire and increases its heat, feeling himself start to dry.
He dips a hand into his shirt, crimson with white stripes along the arms (it fit more like a coat, half open and flowing, exposing the thin metal sheet underneath), he pulls out his thankfully waterproof lute case, and opens it. He holds the lute proudly, having built it himself, and he begins to play songs to himself and anything that will listen, hoping to attract the attention of something rich, or prefferably eatable.

Cautiously, Arialth landed in a darker patch of the already dark forest and looked around. It seemed safe enough, but he still didnt wish to be spotted for what he was. Feeling slightly nervous with so many things around, he called upon his instincts, the only things he could recall all the time, and focused upon the form of a pitch-black wolf, willed his body to change.
Slowly at first, the power formed around him, pulsing, glowing, not in the form of visible light, but in raw power; he could see it much in the same manner he would read an aura, or a carelessly-stray thought. He held it back until it gather enough, from what he felt was the core of his being.
When he felt there was the right amount of power, that it was formed properly, he let the spell loose.
The actual transformation took less than the blink of an eye, and there he stood, in the familiar form of a black wolf. He had just enough time to take in his surroundings when a shadowy form, perhaps a horse, flew over a bush nearby and collided with his head...
Then he knew naught but darkness

Syrinia
|
Syrinia had managed to simply run for a few minutes before she found herself hurled into a nearby bush, Draca kicking furiously at the air once more. This was becoming rather typical.
Standing as she winced in pain once more, she slowly made her way towards Draca and pulled down on the reins settling her mighty horse. Once Draca had seized her fury, Syrinia turned to look at what had caused such fear in her horse, only to see a black wolf laying on the soft grass that covered the forest ground.
A wolf, she had been told of great stories about wolves by her tribe members, how wolves can bring much knowledge, yet pose a great threat, but how would she know? How would she know what this wolf longed for? Quietly, she pulled back on Draca's reins, moving her horse into a safe distance from the wolf. She would fight if the need to arised, but she would not put Draca - her only friend - in danger.

Danath in his stock watched on as the human female ( that he thought was a Amazan jugding be the sword she held) walk towards the motionless figure and knocked him with her sword. He tried to connect to the figure's mind but nothing and then a suddern burst of energy. The figure got up and knocked the woman down and ran off into the forest.
With that danath flew down into the trees and landed. He could sense great power somewhere in the forest but couldn't see what was cursing it. He just sat under the trees for a a few moments trying to figure out what had just happened. He counldn't see anything but trees, plants and the sound of music echoing around the forest.
"Well someone has to be playing that music, if i follow it i might get out of here and somewhere safe." With that he slowing walked towards the sound of the music still unnerved be what had made the massive energy that he had just felt a moment or two before.

Kail watches as the dragon he saw before walks towards him, he becomes slightly edgy, he lifts up the top of his luts, revealing the knife, he continues playing his songs.
"Were you really trying to help me? I won't hurt you unless you try and eat me first" looks at the scarred dragon.

Danath stud still, the figure sat playing a lute that the music was coming from.
"NO ,yes Arr i mean no i'm not going to eat you and yes i was trying to help."
The winged figure looked staight at Danath.
"I saw you falling and tried to reach you but wasn't fast enough, Then the amazan came up to you so i thought it best if i stayed out of sight," Danath pionted back into the trees," Then just as you got up and ran from her i felt this powerful energy, so i thought it best to lay low, then i noticed your music and thought it would be a safe bet to follow it and here i am."
Danath took a long look at the figure, "Are you not hurt from that fall? Not many can survive a fall like that."

"Ah. Well, thank you for trying to help me.
"Yes, there aren't many things able to survive a drop like that, yet sadly I am one of them"
Kail hides away the knife, and his hand goes into his shirt. He takes out a slab of meat, and throws it to the dragon.

Danath sat him self down and nosed the meat then picked it up through it in the air and let it drop into his mouth.
"Thanks i havn't eaten in days, being red is not the best colour for hunting but i get by."
He licked his teeth and looked back into the woods then at the water.
Danath rose.
"Sorry how rude of me my name is Danath Dragonclaw from the sky mountains of Aeldra."

Danath looked at Kail. He reached for the claw that was hanging from his neck just to queck it was still there.
"No you have done more the enough with the meat you gave me."
Just then he worked out where he was and he looked back to Kail.
"You just came from the Dark side, and that amazon is riding further into it, riding right into," He broke off and closed his eyes.
You can't Dathan if you go you might not come back he thought but he knew what he had to do.
"Kail tell me is the dark side still as bad as it was?"

"Thought it would be, but i can't let her go in there by herself evern the most skilled warrior couldn't fight what's out there."
He opened his wings out and look at the sky.
"Ok Kail if you ever need help just think of me I'll be there don't ask how i just will and watch your self troubles always close."
Danath jumped up into the air and hovered scanning the land scape for a route to take.

Kail watches as the dragon named Danath flies away. Replacing his lute in the case and into his shirt, he decides to follow Danath, offer some help. He runs to the edge of the river, and he jumps, his wings snapping out painfully.

Arialth whined a little and lifted his head to look around. A human woman stood a ways to the side, watching him. She held the reigns of a horse tightly and was sidling it away from Arialth.
He took a quick check of his body, limb by limb. His head was injured, bleeding slightly. Where was he? What had just happened? How did he get here? Why was he injured?
Arialth felt very, very confused indeed.
|
Syrinia
|
Syrinia stared at the wolf as it regained consciousness and gazed up at her slightly. It was bleeding from the head and seemed to be in critical shape.
Releasing her grip on Draca's reigns, she slowly walked towards the bleeding animal that lay before her. She kneeled down slowly, being careful not to take her eyes off him for who knew what his reaction would be. She had made a mistake earlier with the griffin/human hybrid, she was not going to make it again.

Arialth stared at the human and tilted his head. Who was she? He barked a cautious query and tried standing, only to be knocked back on his side by dizziness. His head hurt. He pawed at it a few times, whining.

Syrinia
|
Coming to a conclusion that the wolf was not going to attack and was badly injured, Syrinia backed up a few feet towards Draca's side, all the while not removing her eyes from the wolf. She slowly reached into one of the many bags held by her horse and pulled out a small, brown box. Walking back towards the wolf's side, she kneeled down beside it and opened the small box. Taking out a soft, green goo, she softly spread it over the wolf's head.
"Rest now, this will heal you in a few minutes." She spoke soothingly trying to let the wolf know he was safe.
|
Guest
|
"Woof!" Arialth wagged his tail. The green gooey stuff felt cool. He liked it. He butted his nose against her hand. She couldn't be an enemy. The goo wasn't hurting him, it was healing him. That much he could tell. He licked her palm and looked up at her.
|
Syrinia
|
Smiling slightly, she petted the wolf's side gently, being careful not to harm him in any way. Wait, she had smiled? Syrinia couldn't remember smiling for years, even before she was exiled; everything had been so vicious, so fierce that there was never anytime to actually slow down and have a good laugh.
Shaking her head, she snapped out of her thoughts and concentrated back on the wolf. She noticed his wound was healing, this was good. She also noticed his mood was changing; he was a bit more livlier now. This was a very good sign. Closing the box, she put it to a side and observed the wolf for a while, protecting him until he managed to heal fully.
|
Guest
|
Arialth shook himself as if he was wet. He didn't need the healing goo did he? It occurred to him that for some reason he should be able to heal himself. Why was that?
He searched his mind for a short time, but nothing relevant presented itself. Shrugging the feeling off, he barked up at the human.
|
Syrinia

Falling back a bit, Syrinia glanced up at the wolf who had now shooken himself off.
Maybe it had already taken effect.
She thought to herself as she continued to watch him, cautiously, wondering what his next move would be.

"Who are you?" Arialth asked in her mind quite suddenly. Why hadn't it occurred to him to ask her before?
|
Syrinia
|
What? Had that wolf just talked to her? Telepathically? Syrinia's eyes widened. First the human with griffin wings, now a talking wolf, what was going on?
"I am Syrinia," she spoke with a bit of fear in her voice, but quickly hid it as she questioned, "and who are you?"
|

"I do not know who I am, only my name," He replied sadly. "As for that, I am Arialth."
|
Syrinia
|
He does not know who he is? Had Draca hit him too hard on their collision? Oh great, another mistake, it seemed that was all she could do.
"Arialth," she started as she stood, "may I ask where it is you are headed?"
|

|
"I am not certain. I forget where I am. I forget where I was going..."
He looked down at his paws and sat up. "The last thing i remember was ... being hit."

Syrinia
|
"Oh yes, forgive me for that, I was trying to escape... something, and didn't notice you until it was too late." She said as she glanced at him apologetically.

"I did not know you hit me... I remember so little nowadays. I feel as if I have no purpose. If I do, it has forsaken me." Arialth whispered and stood all the way up. "I do not know where to go from here. Perhaps left..."
|
Syrinia
|
"Travel west into the light side of Aeldra, it is safer there. You are still a bit weak, you should not stay in these parts where evil roams freely." She said as she pointed towards the light side.

"Aeldra? I have never heard of it. I think it would be much safer for me not to go wandering through the wilderness right now." He looked dubiously into the dark. There had to be a better way of getting through that forest than walking. If only he could remember...
|
Syrinia
|
Syrinia felt terribly guilty now, perhaps if she would have been watching where she was going there would not have been a collision, thus, Arialth might still remember a few things about himself, like the world he lived in.
"Aeldra is the world we live in, the ground you are standing on now as we speak," she began, "and if you do not wish to travel right now then perhaps you should remain hidden in one of those bushes over there. I would invite you to come along with me, but you are in no condition to travel to where my destination is located."

"I think... I think at one time I might have been able to go anywhere... I do not remember how. Please, do not leave me here alone. I am lost." he paced in a line, back and forth. "I do not wish to be left alone."
|
Syrinia
|
Syrinia watched Arialth as he paced back and forth, lost, she knew well how that felt: when you had nowhere to go; nowhere to belong too. She did not wish to leave him on his own knowing some creature might come and devour him, but what could she do? He certainly could not travel to the dark side of Aeldra, not like this. Or perhaps, he could. She would have to be responsible for him though, and everything she was responsible for always turned out failing for she was a failure at guarding others, yet, she had to try for leaving him here would only haunt her for the rest of her life.
"I suppose you could come along, I am a skillful fighter; I could protect you." She said as she awaited a response.

"I can? Where are you going?" Arialth cocked his head curiously. "It doesn't matter, does it? That gives me something to do." He examined her weaponry. "You are a ... warrior? You look like one."
|
Syrinia
|
"I am an amazon, a lone amazon." She corrected, "I am heading to the dark side, deep into it; I long to fight once more. This is why I was worried of you coming along, for you seem not to know your weapons or defense mechanisms."
|

|
"Ah... I see." Arialth nodded. "I know there must be something I am missing. I do not feel right. This body is... strange. It seems wrong. I am missing something." He repeated, staring at himself. "If only i knew exactly what was wrong with it. I am sure then I could defend myself."
|
Syrinia
|
"Your body feels different?" She questioned, confusingly, "How can your body feel different, unless you are a shapeshifter." As she said this she picked up the small, brown box and placed it back inside the bag Draca held up.
|

Shapeshifter? Arialth thought about that for a moment. That seemed right, but his memory deserted him before he could track down the reason. "I am not sure. I forget that too." He watched her retreat to her horse.
|
Syrinia
|
"Well, once fate wishes for you to remember then you shall, until then we should be on our way for standing still in the middle of darkness is not the best idea in the world." She said as she jumped up onto Draca's saddle and waited to hear Arialth's response.

"Lead the way then, fair lady," Arialth smiled. The humor in his voice crept in unbidden as he prepared to follow her.
|
Syrinia
|
"Very well." She said as she nudged Draca softly and began on her way, walking slowly so Arialth could keep up. She knew he was still a bit weak and did not wish to stress him out too much.

Arialth followed the horse, trotting alongside it easily. Besides his lack of memory, he felt perfectly fine, actually enjoyed the exercise. And while he ran, he pondered why he could not remember anything.

Syrinia

Galloping at a resonable pace for a while, Syrinia and Arialth managed to arrive at a dark city. It was late night now, and the moon shone brightly in the night sky, illuminating the streets. Syrinia walked up the pathway entering the village and glanced around, trying to recognize where she had arrived. It seemed rather depressing and cruel; a village with no hope or happiness. Men could be found thrown against walls, drinking viciously, and children being yelled at and thrown against their own siblings. Such hostile behavior could only be home to the darkest village in all of Aeldra: Zyntharia.
Walking through the dark streets that overflowed with pure evil, Syrinia arrived at a small brothel located off to a side. She was so tired from such a long trip, perhaps she could stop for a short drink, possibly reenergizing herself.
Jumping off her horse, she tied her to a post which stood off to a side and entered the brothel. Immediately the room was filled with awes and then silence. Everyone watched her cautiously as she made her way up to the counter. As she sat down a man made his way towards her.
"Well well, if it isn't an amazon, and she brings a wolf with her." The man smirked as he said this. Syrinia just ignored him and asked for a cool beverage. "I'm talking to you!" The man demanded loudly now as he gripped onto her arm, immediately Syrinia turned to catch him in a death grip as she held her sword to his neck.
"Move and you die." She spoke as more men surrounded her, she could tell there was going to be a fight and what a fight it would be. This was what she had been waiting for, and she had finally found it, oh joy!

Zytah
|
Zytah walked down the crickety stairs, followed by her last customer, to find a woman holding a strange woman holding a sword to her bosses' neck and a score of half and fully drunk men surrounding her.
Surprised, she pushed through the men, and placed a hand on the woman's shoulder.
"What's going on? Leave him alone."

Arialth growled loudly. The fur on the back of his neck stood striaght up. He did not like this man. He did not like any of them, or this building, or the streets, or the rest of the village. If he needed to defend Syrinia, he most certainly would. She, at least, had cared for him, and all these men, and the scents in the air, made him nervous.
|
Syrinia
|
Feeling someone lay a hand on her shoulder, she did not release the man, but instead shifted her sword to point directly at the woman's neck who had dared lay a hand on her.
"Stay back!" She commanded, staring straight into her eyes.
|
Zytah
|
Jumping a bit in surprise, Zytah held her hands up in surrender.
"Sorry, sorry," she tried to move back, but the men behind her didn't let her move. Clearing her throat, Zytah tried again,"Tell me what's going on."
|
Syrinia
|
"Why do you not question the man you call your boss." Syrinia said as she shoved the man towards the strange woman and stood with her sword, ready to attack anyone who dared threaten her or Arialth.

Arialth whined and sat on his haunches. He had no clue what was going on anymore. It must be a human thing.
|
Zytah
|
Looking at her boss, she silently asked what was going on. When he just shrugged and motioned toward the woman, she grew frustrated. Turning on him, she placed her hands on her hips.
"What's wrong with you?" she demanded, "just tell me!" he scoffed and crossed his arms across his chest.
"Nuffin', sweet'eart. We're jus' pokin' fun a' 'er. She's jus' so uptigh' 'bout it!" he snorted out a laugh. Other men joined him, but she ignored them.
"Some people don't like to be played with, stupid. Leave her alone!" She didn't know why she felt so defensive about it, but hey, what the heck.
|
Syrinia
|
Syrinia decided to slowly let her anger fall, and with it her excitement to fight, but she never lowered her sword as she still did not feel secure amongst all these men.
|
Zytah
|
Turning to the strange woman, Zytah smiled slightly.
"I am so sorry about them. They're pigs, and they're drunk," men cut her off, disagreeing.
"'Ey! We're nut drun'" they slurred, pushing further up against Zytah. "We can show you! Look! Le's go to ya room!" some laughed, pushing further.
Frustrated, Zytah ducked behind the bar and pulled out her bow and arrows, drawn and pointing at the lead jeerer.
"Shut up. Get out," she grounded. Her boss disagreed.
"Wha' 'r ya doin'?! You'r gunna make me loose all ma custom'rs!" rolling her eyes Zytah lowered her weapon.
|
Syrinia
|
Syrinia chuckled a bit at the ridiculous fools which called themselves men. What a disgrace to their race and gender.
Seeing everything was calm, she decided to put her sword back into its sheath and walk up to the counter, where she sat and ordered a drink. While the bar tender served her, she allowed her hand to explore one of her belt's pockets and pull out a few copper coins which she laid on the counter as pay for the drink.
|
Zytah
|
Standing before the woman, Zytah held out an awkward hand.
"I am, sorry about them," she said sincerely, "I hope you weren't too offended, no?"

Danath had been flying for a bit now following tracks that had been worn into the ground from years of use thinking it was the most likely route the amazon had taken. kail was flying just off to his right.
You didn't have to come you know, i might just lead you into trouble
Dathan passed onto Kail as he turned his head to look at him.
Are you sure your Ok to fly we can rest for a moment if you want?
|
kail
|
"I know," thought Kail to Danath, "I just wanted to properly repay you fot trying to help me.
"And no, unless you need to rest there's no point in stopping yet, thanks."
Kail looked up at the moon, it wasn't full before... curse this place, such evil it makes the worlds most natural beauty seem so sinister.

This was a first for Danath some helping him on there own free will. The air was getting very cool now but Kail and Danath flew on into the ever darkening sky that lay ahead of them. Only time would tell if Danaths senses where justified in going into the dark side of Aeldra.
|
kail
|
Kail looks ahead, as far as he can see, he can just notice the village of Zyntharia... oh dear. But, if that's where he had to go to help Danath, so be it.
|
Syrinia
|
Syrinia turned slightly to look at the woman's hand, turning back she took a sip of her drink as she spoke, "I am not offended, I actually came searching for a good fight." She took her dagger out and played around with it using her fingers. Observing it quite closely, she spoke, "why did you help me?"
|
Zytah
|
Taking her hand back, she placed both face down on the counter shrugging.
"Because they are imbeciles. They need a good beating or two," she shrugged again.
Zytah's boss stopped behind the woman, "'Ey!" he guffawed, "git bac' ta work lil' missy! I ain't payen ya ta flirts.... Naw, wait, yea's I am's!" he guffawed again, going to find some other form of enjoyment.
Rolling her eyes, Zytah offered the woman a smile.
|
Syrinia
|
"And you allow him to talk in such a manner to you?" Syrinia asked confusingly as she lifted an eyebrow at the woman. "What exactly is your duty here?"
|
Zytah
|
Blushing, and looking away, Zytah scratched the top of her head, then wrapped her arms around her, as if trying to cover herself some more.
"I'm, uh," she licked her lips, "I'm a prostitute," she looked at the woman and tried to smile.
|
Syrinia
|
Syrinia almost choked on her drink when she heard the word 'prostitute.' Coming from a long line of amazons, she had a protective nature of females, and prostitution went strongly against her belief system. She despised the word; the action. One thing she could not see was a woman giving her body to men freely.
"That is unacceptable!" She began as she slammed her dagger onto the counter, "why in all of Aeldra would you dare do such a thing?"
|
Zytah
|
Sighing deeply and shaking her head, she moved to get back to work.
"I don't have anywhere else to go. This is the only place they took me in when I ran out of money," eyes the men in distaste and sighed again, "I'd better get back. It was nice to meet you."
Moving out from behind the counter, she sauntered to the closest and drunkest man she could find. Smiling at him smoothly, she leaned forward to whisper in his ear.
|
Syrinia
|
Syrinia practically growled as she saw the woman go after such a pig. This was a disgrace to all females.
Standing, she practically launched at the woman as she gripped onto her arm and pulled her back.
"Don't you dare!" She hissed.
|
Zytah
|
Pulling her arm back, she crossed them over her chest. She couldn't help but feel disgusted with herself every time the woman looked at her, and she knew why too. Her job was just so despicable. But she needed the money.
"What else am I supposed to do? I don't have anywhere else to go! I need this job! And believe me; I know it's disgusting. I know, okay?"
|
Syrinia
|
Syrinia thought for a while. This was completely outrageous and unacceptable. She could not just leave and let her continue on her ways of achieving money by selling herself, no, she would stop this. Maybe then she could do something right for once.
"Come with me." She suddenly found herself saying; it seemed her thoughts had escaped through her voice.
|
Zytah
|
Zytah jumped in surprise at the proposition handed to her.
'Come with me' repeated over and over in her head.
She couldn't, could she? No. Yes. She didn't have anything tying her down to here. She didn't have anyone to care for but herself. But...what about money? She needed money.
Well, she did have what she had been saving. Would that be enough? Yeah. It should.
Smiling at the woman, she nodded. "Okay, yeah. I'll go with you! Let me -- I need to go get somethings. I'll be right back!" with that she raced up the stairs toward her room to gather the most essential things before racing back down again.

Kail thinks to Danath "Hey, if that trail happens to lead to Zyntharia, do we go in there?"
He looks real worried
|
Syrinia
|
Syrinia just stood there trying to catch up with everything that had just taken place. She watched as the woman raced up the stairs and back down with a few belongings. Now she had two beings to watchover.
Oh Syrinia, what have you gotten yourself into this time.
She thought to herself as she glanced at the woman once more. She had not asked her for her name yet, neither announced her own.
"What may your name be?" She asked.
|
Zytah
|
Looking around, and feeling like she was missing something, Zytah mumbled an absent, "Zytah," before snapping her fingers and jumping behind the counter, coming back with her bow and arrow. Smiling widely, she asked what the woman's name was.
|
Syrinia
|
She watched as Zytah retreated behind the counter only to return with a bow and arrows. So she fought, interesting.
"Syrinia," she spoke, "and this is Arialth." She said as she motioned towards the black wolf that sat behind her.
|
Zytah
|
She grinned at the wolf, "Nice to meet ya!" she turned slightly, toward her boss, "Marnie!" his head appeared from a tangled mass of bodies and limbs, "I quit!" she smirked to herself, turning to Syrinia, "I've wanted to say that for a really long time."
A second later, Marnie appeared, looking pissed in his drunken haze.
"Wha'er ya yellin' 'bout, ya hoe. You ain't goin' no places le' I tell ya so! Naw ge' bac' ta workin'!" Scowling, Zytah shook her head.
"I won't. Find yourself someone else. Better yet, why don't you do it?"
"We got a contract!" he growled.

Danath looked back down to the ground and looked to the city coming from the distance.
If i most i'll have to i hope she didn't go into there though Then Danath had this throught come to him out of no where, he stopped and hovered as he looked back at Kail You've been here before havn't you Kail
|
kail
|
"Look, its not that I don't trust you enough to tell you, but that's really not a question you want to be asking me" he replies. Kail speeds up slightly, partly to escape more questions (even though there's not much of a limit to the mindspeech), partly because he wants this over with. He grits his teeth as his wings beat faster, why did he keep helping people? He had his own problems, thank you very much Tzeench, deamon of fyre....

Danath just hovered for a moment as Kail flew on ahead. I shouldn't have said that, i never say the right things he thought. He then started to follow Kail towards the dark city knowing the possible dangers that could be waiting for them in that evil place.

Kail flies until he reaches the gate to Zyntharia, the track Danath was following leads straight in there.
"Ur, is it really a good idea for you to go in here? Or would you rather tell me who you're searching for and describe her to me, and let me find her?" he whispered in his mind.
|
dragonclaw
|
Danath landed and looked at the dark city infront of him.
"No i can't let you do that, i must find her just to see if she's not in trouble , there shouldn't be too many people on the streets and if i keep to the shadows i shouldn't be noticed." Danath whispered to Kail. "I would advise you not to follow but i'm not going to stopping you if you do."
He turned and started to walk to the gates of Zyntharia.

Kail follows Danath into Zyntharia, quickly thinks "Hold a moment, I desperately need a drink", he heads into a brothel.
Once inside, he sees the Amazonian from earlier talking to..... hm.. She appeared to be a prostitute, but he couldn't be sure.
He sees the woman smile at a wolf next to the Amazon.
"Danath, you wouldn't happen to have been searching for an Amazon would you? The one on her own?," he mentally asked
"Cos she's in here"
|
dragonclaw
|
"Yes i see, I sensed that she was walking into trouble and i'm not normally wrong" Danath replied as he looked into the window next to him.
"She seems fine though and I'm normally right when I sence something."
He grabbed the claw from around his neck and rised it up to eye level and looked at it.
"So tricking me now i don't even know why i took you from him, all you do is bring problems." then he dropped it back around his neck.

Kail walks over to the Amazonian as a huge man (most likely the bartender) walks up to the other woman as if to hit her. Kail sneaks up behind the lardy man and places a hand over the mans eyes; he instantly becomes unconscious.

|
Danath ducked under the window and crouch down on the ground out of site as Kail walked into the brothel. He hoped no one would walk passed in the street because even though he was in the shadows his red colouring still stuck out from all the dark colours around him.
