Scarab PyramidAs each of the adventurures enter the portal therre is a feeling of exquisite pain, and an explosion of one of the elements, and they are consumed...
As they exit the portal they look around and find out the horrible truth...
They are no longer togther!
Syrinia and Zytah are somewhere in the desert, sand all around them, no sign or sound of the others anywhere, there isnt even a sign of the pyramids!
Night and Aurus are transported to within sight of the pyramids, but cannot find any of the others.
Signus and lil waif are teleported to a town about 5 miles away from the pyramids as they discover once asking the locals..
The disk teleported with lil waif.
As to damages, lil waif, was knocked unconscoius and when he regained some of his strength, he discovered not only was he weakened, almost to the point of death, cut and lacerated so severely he would need the help of an expert healer, but he also could not even tell if danger was near.. which seemed strange to him, as all signals should have been overloading.
Night
"Great" Night said as he saw the dragon laying in the sand uncontentious, and then added "he'll die from this heat most likely, since fire being close to him creates enough heat to hurt him"
Night then sighed and used his power over ice to place a thick layer of ice over the dragons body, except for his nose so he can breath, so that he would not die.
Night then looked around, no one else was near them.
He then sat in the sand and waited, as well as made sure the ice did not melt so the dragon would not die.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Signus awoke in a town, people had gathered arouand her and lil waif, and were about to try and take something from the magic disk.
She made fire spring from the ground to block the person, while saying "Hands off!" ,the person darted back and Signus made a circle of fire around her and lil waif so the people couldn't take anything.
She then looked at Lil waif, he was hurt badly. She was surprised at first, but then began to use her fire to heal him, though it would be a very slow process, and it may not heal the wound completely, it would help. In all truth she didn't think that it would heal him completely, but it may help him some what.
Aurus
Aurus slowly begins to stir. And eventually wakes up.
Aurus notices the effects immediately. The drain of the portal has left him with very little energy, and the heat hits him like a he had just smashed into a wall of flaming bricks. He feels weak, as he had expected, but he couldn't cool himself as well as he normally did. He also had a massive headache, forcing him to keep his eyes closed a little longer. He shortly opened them, but everything was blurry, he could tell he was encased in ice, lifting and turning his head (vaporizing some of the ice covering it). He could make out a figure near him, but couldn't tell who it was.
He could tell his body temperature was slowly falling, but it was still very high.
"It's a lot hotter than I thought it would be here" He said weakly trying to make out the figure near him. He tried to stand, only succeeding in shaking a little bit. "Sorry, I don't have the strength to move" He put his head back down, having trouble keeping it up.

The heat was a great welcome, the cold off the night before had chilled Danath to the bone. He just glided on the thermals that came off the sands from under him.
"I should have done this a long time ago, wouldn't have needed all the rest I had to have when i had to do all the work myself," he laughed and did a full roll over to his right, “Yeah I could get use to this."
He needed to find some water though he hadn't drunk anything since the night before but that would be easier said than done, he couldn't even use his powers to collect moisture from the air around him because there wasn't any. Well there had to be something around that he could get water from.
Syrinia
Slowly opening her eyes, she groaned as she tried to adjust to the heat and sun. She felt like she had just gotten beaten and thrown aside to die in the heat, but she knew this wasn't true.
Slowly pushing up from the ground with her hands, she winced as the sand burned the flesh on her hands; it was torrid. Struggling onto her feet, she looked around to see she was in the middle of the desert, she then saw Zytah laying just a few feet away. Stumbling towards her, she fell to her knees as she softly shook her, trying to wake her up.
"Zytah, wake up," she called.
Zytah
A groan tore through Zytah's throat involuntarily. At once pain flooded her system, drowning out the incredible heat that surrounded her. Shallow breaths lifted her chest, scrabbling to gather enough oxygen to satisfy her body.
She fought to open her eyes a little, and peered up at Syrinia. She could feel the hot sand beneath her, warming her already warmed body.
"Where are we?" she grunted gruffly. It hurt to talk. It hurt to move. How in the world was she supposed to get up and get that gem?
Syrinia
"In the middle of the desert, but the others aren't here," she replied, looking around, trying to locate sight of anyone. Something had gone wrong while teleporting and they had somehow ended up in the middle of the desert.
Zytah
She let her head fall back on the sand and closed her eyes tightly, "Meaning we don't have our stuff?" she murmured softly, stifling another groan.
Syrinia
"Unfortunately no," she replied as she recalled leaving all her armor and weapons with lilwaif. Was this a trick? Had he planned to take all their stuff and left them in the middle of the desert to die? Frowning at the thought, she said, "We have to move or we won't survive."
Zytah
A sarcastic smirk flitted across her features, "Surprise," she garbled dryly. After taking a few deep breaths, she rolled herself over and crawled into a kneeling position.
Dizziness left her feeling lightheaded and wanting to collapse into the sand face first, but she shook it off as best as she could and pulled herself to her feet cautiously.
Syrinia
Standing as well, she helped Zytah maintain her balance, noticing she had lost much of her energy and strength as well. Had the portal drained them both from their energy?
Zytah
When she had gained as much footing as she figured she'd get, Zytah looked around, "Alright, so where are we going?"
Syrinia
Syrinia had the same question in mind. The desert stretched for miles in every direction, and the sun was beating down on them which made it even harder to concentrate.
"I don't know, I guess we should just start walking," she replied as she began making her way through the hot sand, her feet burning with every step even though she had her leather boots on.
Zytah
With a huff, she started out after her friend, hoping they would find someone. Maybe even a village where they could just relax.
Syrinia
"This will take us forever," she growled as she attempted to bring out her aura and create wings on her back, but fell to her knees without strength instead. A bit confused, she wondered why she couldn't bring out her wings, then it hit her. Of course! The portal had drained most of their strength, this was not good.
Zytah
Sighing to herself, Zytah dropped to her knees, and shielded her eyes with her hand, "We need shade," she murmured hoarsely.
Syrinia
Looking around, all she could find was sand, sand, and more sand. Where would they ever find shade in a place like this, plus they needed water too.
Then Syrinia remembered yet another mistake they had committed, "Zytah, we left our horses in the cave, right?"
Zytah
A groan slipped from her throat as she hung he head. Of course she'd forget about their horses.
Syrinia
"I thought so," Syrinia was disgusted with herself for not bringing water or the horses. She had, had her mind on other things, distracting her from what was really important, now they would both pay the price for her actions.
Sighing, she struggled back up onto her feet as she continued walking, the hot air slapping against her seething skin.
Zytah
Muttering under her breath of her stupidity, she followed after Syrinia. They needed to find some place that had water or she'd fry into a crisp before they got very far.
Syrinia
"That is it!" She roared as she dashed towards one of the high, sand hills located all around and began digging into the side of it. She was trying to make a small hole in which they could sit under, blocking them out of the sun's rays.
Zytah
Zytah's eyebrows rose in surprise as she followed after Syrinia. She helped her dig a deep enough hole, and sat back, closing her eyes, relishing in the shade. Thank god.
Syrinia
Falling back into the hole, she lay back against the cool sand as she closed her eyes in the shade. They were safe from the sun for now, but it wouldn't last much longer as the wind would probably cause the sand to collapse on them.
Zytah
Zytah heaved a sigh, thankful for the cool, sunless shade. She didn't want to have to move, staying right where she was sounded so good.
"We have to get our stuff back," she murmured.
Syrinia
"We have to find lilwaif," she struggled to get her words out as she leaned back, "let us hope this was not all just a trap."
dragonclaw
"OK this is not as fun as i first thought," Danath said.
He needed water but there wouldn't be any here, so he just pressed on.
Sand hills where the all feature that could be seen, but then he saw gust a glint of something on one of the hills.
"Well whatever it is it could help me."
With that he flies in the direction of the glint of light.
Syrinia
Slightly opening her eyes, she caught a glimpse of something flying in the distance. It looked red; that was all she could make out. Narrowing her eyes, she tried to focus her vision on whatever it could be, but it was immensely hard with the heat overpowering her.
"Zytah, what's that?" She asked weakly.
dragonclaw
Before he came up to whatever he had seen, he landed just a bit away from the sand hill. It would be less intimidating to meet someone or thing on foot then take them by surprise be landing on top of them. He walked up to the hollow that was dug out of the hill and two figures lay within it.
“No it can’t be!”
Zytah
Not bothering to open her eyes, she shrugged, "I dunno," she murmured, sucking in a sharp breath.
Syrinia
As the being landed, Syrinia got a better view of him, and her eyes widened as she did. Was it really?
"Danath?" She whispered.
dragonclaw
Danath just stud there, of all the places, he didn't think he would meet anyone and here lay Syrinia and Zytah.
"Syrinia, Zytah want are you doing here, this heat will kill you both!" He said as he moved closer and opened a wing over the top of them to help give more shade," Here this will help."
Syrinia
"Much thanks my friend," Syrinia motioned towards his wing, then closed her eyes as she spoke, "We teleported here, but something went wrong and we were separated from our original group. Now we don't know where to go."
Zytah
Zytah grinned lopsidedly up at him, though it looked more like a grimace, "What are you doing here?"
dragonclaw
"Group! There's more people out here in this waste land?" he said as he looked around, "Well all we can do is hope they are safe."
He looked back at the two of them, "Zytah doesn't look to well."
Syrinia
"She has been poisoned," Syrinia replied, glancing at her, "we came here to try and find a pyramid which holds a gem that can heal her."
dragonclaw
"Poisoned!" Danath said in shock, "Well if there is a pyramid, we are no where near it and you two can't walk in this heat."
He put his head down on the sand, he had to think of something.
"And I was just passing through, Zytah," he replied
Syrinia
"No, we cannot," she affirmed, "we just tried and almost died." Taking a while to think, she asked, "Do you know if there are any villages nearby?"
dragonclaw
"There is a village around here, but I’m not 100% sure if it's nearby, sorry," he said to both of them, "and even if there was I wouldn't let you two walk in that state."
Danath lifted his front leg and showed his front foot to Zytah and Syrinia, and digging deep within himself with his powers he drew some water from his body and made it pool in his hand
"Have you got anything to put this in, it's not much but it’s better than nothing."
Zytah
"Do you have any water?" she croaked.
Syrinia
"Water!" Syrinia almost yelled as she launched at it, taking huge sips. Once her thirst was satisfied she replied, "No, we do not have anything to carry it with, at least I don't."
dragonclaw
Danath moved his front foot closer to Zytah so she could reach the water within it.
"It's ok Syrinia, I'll just use myself as a container," Danath replied, " Here Zytah, water."
Jungkris
::groans as he feels the healing powers from Sygnus flow into him. He can feel it working somewhat, but his broken bones and deep laceratoions are too much for the healing power to heal properly::
"I must get to the healer's tent Sygnus, please... all depends on it. Noone can take anything out of the disk without me to open it. If I die, all the parties armor and weapons will be lost."
As an afterthought he added, "and I would like to live too"
Zytah
Drinks from the water thankfully, taking it in like air.
Syrinia
"Perhaps we should wait for nightfall before we try to get to the village?" She placed as an option.
dragonclaw
"Arr i can't just sit here and watch you two get worse!" Danath said, "Anyway the air gets very cold quick at night out here, would you two by willing to fly by any chance?"
Syrinia
"I don't mind flying," she replied, then glanced at Zytah.
Zytah
"It beats walking," she grumbled lightly.
dragonclaw
"Ok but how is Zytah going to stay on me she hasn't got the strength," He said in a worried tone.
Syrinia
"I'll help her," Syrinia replied.
dragonclaw
"Ok then."
Danath lay flat on the ground so Syrinia and Zytah could get on.
"Can you get up?"
Syrinia
Struggling to her feet, she helped Zytah up as she made her way towards Danath. Helping her onto him, she jumped behind her and held onto her so she wouldn't fall off.
Zytah
Zytah leaned back against Syrinia to stay balanced, shooting a thankful smile over her shoulder to her.
dragonclaw
"Ok just hold on and keep your heads down," Danath said as i got ready to jump into the air, "Hold on!"
With one powerful kick he was airborn and flying above the sands.
Night
"it's fine, take your time" Night said as he stayed seated and kept the ice from freezing, and even added more ice.
The heat didn't bother him, compared to the heat of most of Hell, this was nothing.
He looked at the pyramid, it was in sight, but he knew he did not have enough strength to call his army, let alone have them storm a pyramid. He would wait, and try and find the others.
He then decided, that it would be best to see if he could create something to make their position more visible to people moving around near by.
He smiled as he stood up and shot fire at some sand on a near by sand dune, it began to become glass. Night then said "i'll be back in a minute."
He walked over to a dune, that was farther away from the Dragon, and began to scorch the sand as he piled it on top of each other, eventually he had to shape shift him self some wings, not like the wings in his normal form mind you, and after about half a hour had a Glass tower about 150 feet tall. He stopped and went back over to where the dragon was, he got rid of the wings on the way back, he had reached his limit on what he could do at the moment, he had enough energy to sustain the ice bu he had wasted a lot making the tower.
"i'm back" Night said as he sat back down.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
((you misspelled Signus twice lol))
"Where is a healers Tent!" Signus said in a angry voice, the people did nothing at first, but then Signus made the wall disappear and it be replaced by 10 soldiers of fire and said "answer me, or you'll burn!"
They then pointed at a black tent a few hundred feet away.
"Can you walk?" signus asked
Jungkris
"my legs are broken and I am too weak, they will have to carry me in" lil waif replied
Night
Signus sighed and said "carry him, or I'll burn you, and we wouldn't want that would we?" A few people came and picked him up, They took him to the healers, as Signus and her soldiers fallowed behind them.
Aurus
Aurus stirs a little after night returns. His vision and some of his strength returns as his body temperature drops to somewhere in the vicinity of normal for him.
He manages to reposition himself to a sitting position as some of his abilities start working again, although very weak. He looks around, seeing only night. "Wheres everyone else?"
Night
"i have no idea, me and you are the only ones who appeared here, if I'm right they are probable as lost as we are right now." Night said and added "but this also could have been a trick and he could have ran off with our stuff, and if Lil waif did that i would hunt him down to hell it's self if i had to, i want my swords back!"
Night then said "look at the bright side, we are at the pyramid"
Aurus
"So we gained a pyramid, but lost the one were trying to heal." Aurus sighs, his headache starting to weaken, allowing him to think more clearly. "I hope that's still the only one that needs healing. That portal really destroyed my energy reserves, even this ice is resisting my movements."
Night
"you should regain your strength, and we will have to find th others." Night said and added "by the way, it gets rather cold in the desert at night i do believe, you should enjoy it."
Aurus
"That's good." He says "I probably won't recover at all until it cools down. I can't turn my abilities off, so their probably draining my even now. At least I'm not injured, I'm just... hot. I should be able to walk soon if you keep that up."
Night
"i can keep it up for 3 hours longer, then i would be completely drained, but would still be alive. My power over ice comes from my soul, it is cold, i can use my soul to create and control ice, but it slowly drains it. In all truth, if i kept the ice going longer then i could, i would die permanently, as you can not revive something without a soul." Night said
Aurus
His strength was returning enough for him to stand, now only suffering effects similar to that of him getting hit by a fireblast. He'd be able to walk again very soon. "We should get out of the heat soon then, or at least the sun."
Night
"you should at least" Night sid and added "the heat doesn't bother me, most of hell is hotter then this place."
He then said "if you can you should get into the shadow of the pyramid" night then said
Aurus
"That is a good idea, it'll probably be at least a little cooler there. We're probably more likely to be found next to a landmark like that too" He stands up, moving slowly at first, but is soon able to walk at a somewhat normal pace. "We should get going."
Night
"go where?" Night said as he lays down on the sand, "the best idea is to wait for everyone else to find us, we are where we need to be, we just need to have everyone else find us." Night then points at the tower of glass "after i regain some all of my strength i should be able to double or triple that things size, it's kinda hard to mis a giant glass tower."
Aurus
(You mentioned going to the pyramids shadow in your last post)
"Glass tower?" He asked, he hadn't bother looking up yet, when he saw it he was a bit surprised. "Oh"
He thought a second, "You know, couldnt you just make a glass roof and put sand over it to shade us?"
Night
(i meant you should go, Night has no need to go into the shade)
"i could have, had i had enough energy, but that would not be as noticeable as a giant tower sticking up in the middle of a desert" Night said with a smirk
Aurus
"I think i'd be better off waiting for some of my energy to return then, i don't think I'd last very long without you making up for my lost energy."
Night
"don't worry about it" Night said and added "i wasn't about to let you die, you may prove useful in the future."
Night then added "and we could always use a new ally to help out."
Aurus
Aurus feels the rest of his strength returning to him as his body temperature hits a normal level. "I think I've got my strength back" He says.
The ice around Aurus suddenly vanishes, his subconscious abilities reforming it around him about a centimeter thick, but just as effective. He looks at his own claw in surprise as the ice moves with him as if it were a second skin. "I don't remember being able to do this."
Syrinia
"How far until we reach the nearest village?" Syrinia asked, still atop Danath's back.
dragonclaw
"Well if there is one out here it shouldn't be long before we see something," Danath replied.
He hoped it wouldn't be to long because he needed water, but he had to go on.
"Just keep your eyes open i don't want to fly past it."
Syrinia
Pointing to a village down below, Syrinia called, "There! Land there!"
dragonclaw
"I see it, heads down!" Danath went into a steep dive, "Ok if anything kicks off let me sort it, ok!"
Syrinia
Nodding, Syrinia held onto Danath's scales with one hand and Zytah with the other as he dove down towards the village.
dragonclaw
Danath put out his forelegs out to help stop himself, he was coming up to fast to land safly and the heat was starting to get to him but he had to land.
"Ok this could be a bit rough," he warned.
He opened his wings just before he hint the ground but it was still to fast, he landed on his belly and slid up to the edge of the village.
Syrinia
Syrinia held on and managed to keep both Zytah and herself on Danath's back as he slid through the village. Lifting her head, she joked, "Nice landing."
dragonclaw
"Thanks," he replied as he looked at the crowd gathering around them, “Well let’s hope their friendly."
Night
"good" Night said and added "now i can let my soul rest"
Aurus
He takes one step and immediate slips into the sand. He looks at his claw again, this time at the bottom which is also covered in smooth ice. He sighs "... of course" he muttered
Syrinia
Glancing at Zytah, she asked, "Are you alright?"
Zytah
Rubbing her still throbbing head, she grunted her consent, "As alright as I can possibly be."
Syrinia
Nodding once, she turned to look at the large crowd that now stood around them.
"Have you seen either a demon, hellhound, dragon, or elf come through here?" She asked, narrowing her eyes at the many villagers that stood around them.
Aurus
Aurus slips again trying to stand getting a face full of sand. "You know, today is just not my day." He says slightly embarrassed, repositioning himself "I think I'll just wait for it to get dark" He sighed
He lies on his side resting his head on the sand, thinking there was too much sand here for his liking. Feeling the drain of both the portal and the heat, he starts to doze off a little, despite the hot temperature around him.
dragonclaw
Danath just lied there in the sand, Dehydration had set in he shouldn't of spared the water for Syrinia and zytah but they needed more than he did. He had also twisted his left foreleg in the landing, will that’s what he thought the pain was anyway.
He looked at the crowd again.
"Well someone answer, it's not too hard," He said in a bit of a low angry voice.
Syrinia
One of the villagers pointed towards a small house in the distance. Immediately, Syrinia jumped off Danath's back and helped Zytah down as they began to make their way into the small house, finding lilwaif lying on a bed and being looked at by some sort of doctor or healer.
dragonclaw
Danath just stayed where he was, he didn't have the energy to get up let alone walk and the pain in his foreleg stopped him anyway. One of the village came up to him but before he could lay a hand on Danath, Danath let out a warning growl.
"You need help," The villager said.
"I need nothing! I can care for myself, if you really what to help, my two friends they need it more than me," Danath replied just as he give into the dehydration and drift out of consciousness.
Syrinia
Turning and noticing Danath was not behind them, she noticed he had passed out where all the villagers stood. What was she going to do now?
"Zytah, go see how lilwaif and Signus are doing, I shall go help Danath," with that, she left Zytah at in the healer's house and walked back to Danath, rubbing his head in an attempt to wake him.
dragonclaw
Danath half opened one eye and closed it again, this was nice, he felt free, safe, but in reality he was anything but safe. He was dehydrated and the heat was making it worse, the pain in his leg he could not feel anymore because he was so out of touch with reality.
Syrinia
Noticing something was terribly wrong, Syrinia turned to the people as she commanded, "Carry him to the healer's house!" The villagers just stood there, staring at her in confusion. "I said go! Now!" She then remembered she was still in the robe and had no way of threatening the villagers. Cursing her stupidity under her breath, she focused on her aura as hard as she could until she managed to form a small, but powerful ball of energy and aimed it at the villagers with the small amount of strength she had, "Take him, now!" Immediately, the villagers ran to Danath's sides and lifted him as they carried him to the healer, Syrinia falling to her knees as soon as the villagers were out of sight.
dragonclaw
Total Unaware of what was happening to around him, Danath didn't even know he was being carried.
He was lost in his dreams of when he was young and happy with his parents to care for him, nothing could spoil this moment of happiness he felt.
Syrinia
Breathing heavily, she wanted to just collapse there and then, to just rest for a few minutes until she regained her strength, but Zytah and Danath needed her help, and what about everyone else? She didn't know if they were okay or not, she had to get up. She couldn't give up now, for the sake of her friends.
Struggling to her feet, she began walking back towards the healer's house where she found Zytah, Danath, Signus, and lilwaif inside. Leaning against a nearby wall, she watched from afar, trying to keep her breathing steady.
Zytah
Zytah noticed Sryinia's labored breathing, and clamored to her side and held up a bottle of water, "Here, drink. You need it."
Syrinia
Smiling slightly, she tooks the bottle with a, "Thanks," before taking a drink and handing it back to Zytah.
"How is Danath and lilwaif doing?"
Zytah
"I'm not sure," she murmured, wiping her brow with the back of her hand.
Syrinia
Nodding, she asked, "Well how are you feeling?"
Zytah
She shrugged, leaning next Sryinia, "I can wait for everyone to get better before we find the gem if that's what you're wondering," she gave a painful half-smile.
Syrinia
"We have no choice," she sighed, staring down at the ground. She didn't want Zytah to have to suffer any longer, but she knew there would be no way of finding the gem until they were reunited with everyone. At least lilwaif would have to awaken from his unconsciousness and be alright, especially so she could get her weapons and armor back; she needed those.
Zytah
"You should drink more water," she held out the bottle again, "If you want to get all your strength back, you'll need it."
