Syrinia sat under a tree, leaning her back against it as she stared down at her blood-filled hands. She had managed to carve a large amount of the tree's bark off by slashing it repeatedly with her sword. She had also managed to injure her hands in the process of gripping her sword too tightly and for a very long time. Forming her hands into fists, she squeezed tightly letting the pain overflow throughout her body; she had to punish herself.

Finally letting her hands fall to her sides, she looked down at her sword which lay thrown on the grassy floor. Tears began to flow down her cheeks slowly, falling onto her hands and burning her flesh like acid, but that pain was nothing compared to the knowledge of losing Zytah.

Yes, Zytah had been captured by the Zyntharians and it was all her fault; she had been careless and had let her slip from her own grip. I shall protect you she recalled telling her close friend, I shall never let anything happen to you, but indeed she had and she could only wonder what Zytah could be going through now. Syrinia had not spoken to anyone since she had left Zyntharia, instead she had kept to her thoughts and memories of Zytah and how she had betrayed her friend.

Signus and Night came running from Zyntharia.

A voice appeared in Syrinia's head "don't blame your self, it's not your fault"

This was Signus, but she didn't exspect Syrinia to know that, after all she had never spoken to Syrinia before.

A voice was heard in her mind as the words don't blame yourself, it's not your fault rang in her head. Syrinia tried to block it out, thinking it was merely her thoughts. It was her fault and she didn't want her thoughts to doubt that. Laying against the tree, she decided to close her eyes and think back. She had promised Zytah she would return for her, and that was what she planned on doing even if it meant dying in the process. Zytah had shown her kindess, friendship, and had helped her along her path. She had not left when she turned rageous against the Zyntharian army in the lake of memories and she had fought side-by-side with her in the mysterious village. After all that she could not just leave her and carry on like nothing ever happened; she had to get her friend back.

The voice could be herd again "I thank you for saveing me. In return me and Night shall help you save your friend. By thee way, my name is Signus"

Night looked at the hellhound and then at Syrinia and said "are you two talking?"

Then The voice could be herd saying "sorry Night, didn't mean to leave you out."

Danath woke to the sound of people walking down the road from the city. He tried to see the people but could see because of the trees.
"Well where their going at this time at night," He thought as he crept closer to the road.

Signus sniffed the air and her voice could be herd "we got company...."

Night turned and said "what is it"

"a dragon" Signus answered.

Syrinia glanced up to meet Signus staring at her, was she the one talking? Lifting as eyebrow, she asked, "Are you Signus?"

He could see the figures now out in the road. Then just as he walk just out of the tree line the figures quickly turned towards him. In shock, he stud still wondering what to do next.

Signus then turned to the Dragon and in his head the voice could be herd "who are you?"

Night looked at Syrinia and said "shocking isn't it?"

Danath looked at the figures as he heard the voice, going against all his fear he spoke up. "I'm Danath, red dragon of the sky mountains and who might you be?"
